You can also save the wallet address as a saved contact in your wallet. That way you know you're sending it to the right place.

Thank you for this video it is very helpful. I am not sure if I have experienced a dust attack or an address poisoning in my trezor 3 wallet. The address that was used is identical, as far as I can see, to my xrp address. However I feel reassured that as long as I completely ignore it and any suspicious emails I should be ok. I watched a video recently where a whale lost approximately 68 million in a dust attack and it kind of scared me into immobility!

Awesome video. I always triple check and I have received these fake tokens and random 1 cent deposits. I just ignore. I never copy their address nor do I check them. Hardware wallets always asks to verify the address when sending and receiving so use that feature. I almost never send all my funds at one time. Since I am paranoid I send a small amount and wait then send the rest.
I even change addresses after a while during low gas days.
