Power Window Switch Not Working? Bypass Hack #shorts
A simple DIY repair. In this video I'll show you how to bypass the power window switch on your car, truck or SUV. This is especially urgent when your power window stops working on the drivers door. A switch that's not working on driver side is a huge inconvenience. Here's a Power Window Switch Hack for when your switch stops working on your vehicle. This DIY hack allows you to use a power tool battery to bypass the switch and get you back on the road. It's also a good way to test the power window motor to verify it's the switch and not the motor that has failed. Pull your door panel. Test the motor is working by hooking test leads from the tool battery to the power window motors two wires. Cut the 2 wires going to the motor. Leave enough room for soldering the factory wires back together for when you get a new switch. Solder two long wires (I prefer silicone wire) to the wires going to the motor and use heat shrink. Heat shrink the two cut factory wires leading back down to the wiring harness to protect them.
