The concept:
“Disconnected connections” is about the formation of new connections and about loosing some previous ones between you and your family on a distance (in emigration). There is no drama in it, everything works as it worked before but on anther one level forming new emotions (changing colors) and new connections (interactions between substances).

There are nine substances, each substance is symbolizing you or you family. There is no specific designation where is yours and where is your family’s substance because it doesn’t matters - each substance is interacting organically with others bringing changes, breaking some old connections and creating new ones.
The artist doesn’t want to touch the emotional aspect of this process, Anna shows the process itself.
