‘God Exists, Her Name Is Petrunya’ wins the 2019 LUX Film Prize

Teona Mitevska’s film ‘God Exists, Her Name is Petrunya’ has won the 2019 LUX Film Prize. The film examines what happens to a woman who throws herself – literally – into a man’s world. Set in Orthodox Christian Northern Macedonia, the film delves into themes of religion, women’s rights and the importance of tradition.
