it doesn't matter maori or hakas such as this one might have been composed by a maori but I'm sure he'd be proud our nesian brothers are representing

After all it's a football team.. There are hawaiians there but also samoan, tongan, maori, and everywhere else in the world guys from mainland usa that just got to hawaii and are learning a different view of things. ..I've got to say that Hawaii has the most polynesians on the field on one team. There is a draw to play for Hawaii as there is the common side of island living .

its funny everybody trash talking. "this is a maori haka" "this is just copying" how about....hmmm Maori were pretty much the original polynesian, so anyone (and i mean anyone) who has poly blood, could in a way claim the ability to do a Maori Haka, im sure no Maori would be ashamed for their culture being displayed respectfully. I know most the Maori i met, and its been a few, have never had a problem with it. Much Mahalo for all your guys positive words about a respectful show of culture...but grow up, it doesnt hurt or disrespect anyone of you. If it does....hmmm idk, get over it.

Once again.. This isn't the Ha'a. The Ha'a was made specially for the Hawaii Warrior football team of 06-07. it was carried on until the 08-09 season. this is tika tonu. I can speak & understand hawaiian. There was no hawaiian in this war chant. I also know a Maori Warrior who aides kahuna in Ka'u malama Heiau, he said he knows the village that tika tonu comes from, he has no problem with other Polyensians using the Maori Haka, but don't take credit for what isn't our culture.

Polynesia should be proud of there own cultures but the only ones who isn’t is the Hawaiians, Cook Islands is the closest culture to the Maoris, but you don’t see them copying them, no excuse stick to your culture Hawaiians

Each haka is copyrighted by each of the respecting tribes. However you won't breach the copyright if you made your own haka.

I would face that same haka by myself and do it with more mana than that whole team they would shit their pants.

This not a Maori Haka it's Hawaiian haka. Both culture are very similar. Research and you'll find out. Maori and Hawaiian speaks almost the same language, similar weapons and life style etc.

Actually thats not true. Polynesian's have a thing that is similar to a Haka, but the Haka itself is a Maori term. And they are saying Maori words. So don't say this is a Polynesian thing. Learn more about other cultures before you try to be mr big balls.

you are right... half of them are white but they are still from new zealand and probably still have some maori in them and that is their culture. they have a lot more right to do the haka than other cultures, especially american
