I'm so sorry for the audio problems. Seems like my microphone was set to 50% gain without me realizing it.

I'm not sure about other people who play with a crit fl4k build but the mayhem 2.0 update has left me feeling like I've done next to nothing damage wise to even normal enemies. I regularly before the update played mayhem 4 and I thought it was completely fine but the reduction of loot and the fact that the rolls and effecte can be so annoying. The enemies are so annoying as well, I'm not even playing on that high of mayhem and yet I feel like I'm getting my ass handed to me every time I go to play. Even my krakatoa with my fade away is doing barely anything. Honestly bull shit.

I wish modifiers were fun and not "lol you lose all but 1% damage on your favorite weapons" which was the current mayhem system, the new one seems a bit more fun but we'll see, they'll probably still be annoying.

they could have done 2 modifiers and gone 1 to 7 like:
*EE, EM, MM, MH, HH, HV, VV*

being E easy, M medium, H hard and V very hard.
it would make the system less bloated, and would prevent you from rolling 4 negative damage stats.

Trying to balance a Borderlands difficulty with specific buffs and nerfs is mind boggling. They already have this in the all the games so far. If the player wants challenge all they have to do is to allow enemies to level up in different Mayhem modes.
If your character is level 1 on Mayhem 1 enemies should be level 2, M2 - level 4, M3- 8, M4 - 16. It has to be a dynamic progression that sets up the enemy levels according to your current character level. It doesn't need any character nerfs or enemies buffs, just proper level scaling. In M4 you'll be probably destroyed by any regular bandit but that should be the price the player pay for a maximum increased drop rate. Borderlands 3 is so unnecessarily over-complicated game.

It would be nice if we could pick and choose our mayhem modifiers, so we could create builds around them.
That would definitely encourage more build diversity, rather than "just the build that works with every modifier".

Thank gooood I’m not crazy. I’m genuinely concerned and quite upset that I’m not going to enjoy the game anymore. I’ve been playing loads and I’m worried that this game will be over because of modifiers. Pessimistic but I’m concerned. When they said gauntlet I think they meant more of mayhem itself being the gauntlet.

i wish they did the difficulty system properly, they added easy mode but the game is so easy even on mayhem 2, you have to be brain dead to enjoy it
having difficulties going from 1 to 5 for example, and making linear difficulty tweaks for each

1 being +20% enemy health, +10% enemy damage, and +2 enemy spawns per area.
5 being +100% health, +50% enemy damage, +10 enemy spawns per area.

it would make the gameplay more fun without making it too challenging
and then having like 5 mayhem difficulties on top of it for those who want to drop extra loot.

I haven't even played with modifiers yet, because they seem so unappealing to me, or maybe because i haven't played the game as much as i thought i would before release. I wasn't a big fan of OP levels as well, always just played at level 72 in BL2.

for as much as i think that this version of mayhem will still be shit.
i have to agree that its FAR better than the one we have now lol

for example, i don't think easy and medium modifiers are going to be worth shit.
that would make M1 to M3 to be worthless, and M4 to M6 being the same by only having 1 hard mod,
the defining difference on these modes being health mods

maybe move your mic a bit away from your mouth so you do not overdrive the audio that hard :D
