I've looked at so many articles and googled this for so many times but was still confused. Thank you for making this 10 mins super clear and worthwhile 🙏

I have more experience in visual design than in research and breaking down problems. Because of this, I feel more drawn towards UI, but I feel like I would still do great as a UX designer once I'm able to learn the ropes and gain more skills in it. Thank you for this video!

1:10 - 1:33 Dee turns on the lights and explains very clearly a difference that basically no one cares to give a short explanation for! Thank you so much Dee

So much good information here, but this video bizarrely omits that UX and UI designers are VERY often ONE combined role, especially at product companies like Spotify. It's not just that some roles have overlap - Product Designers are generally responsible for both UX and UI, including prototyping wireframes and mockups (and sometimes even some front end development and/or user research). As someone who has spent my career as a Product Designer, I can promise this is kind of essential information to provide.

Where have you been all my life? I am an incredibly visual person and love thinking about how to improve flow/process/organization, I had no idea this could be a in my 30s, I'm wondering how I can go about making a career shift, really grateful for these resources and I'll keep watching and investigating your resources. Thank you!

In simple words, UX designers are daydreamers dreaming about what should be done and UI designers are Performers who are performing in real life.

Thank you for this!
I've been struggling for the past few years trying to find what I wanna do next with my life now that I've finished high school.

Nothing seemed to be something I liked and wanted to dedicate my time to, but then a couple of days ago my co worker recommended UI Design and that was something I've never heard of. I wanted to know more and decided to look it up.

I've always been a visual person. I like looking at satisfying things and I like making cool and satisfying things. Now listening to your explenation, UI is something I wanna try.

I've completed a 33 week course with UX Design to earn a certificate and so far, you have been the best when it comes to explaining UX in short, precise, easy to understand information about UX. I'm preparing for my first big UX job interview and it all your videos have been extremely helpful as a fresh reminder of terms. Thank you, you do an amazing job with all your videos!

This was very helpful to me, thank you so much for taking your time to make this video! I am a graphic design student and I finished taking my second UX class in June. I really enjoyed taking them! I love the whole process of creating concepts and working with others! UI Design sounds really fun to work with because I love to see visual content and how the interaction works.

It took me 36 years to admit to having a good sense of taste and being creative. So after your video I am thinking of becoming UI Designer. Appreciate your video!

Awesome explanation of these career paths! Now I fully understand that I have qualifications to do the work of both UX and UI, but I’m definitely more of a UI person. Thank you for helping to make this so much clearer to me!

Great video explaining the differences in these two career paths. I'm a business analyst in a company with no UX or UI Designer, so I'm called on to do a little of both in my work. I enjoy the UI side of it more, but as an analyst, it is really important for me to understand the big picture including the user needs. I'd love to see another video that also splits out a BA role separately from these two as I'm working to get my company to see the need for these two concentrations.

Heard about UX from a stranger, sounded interesting, changing career fields so I'm looking into this as a potential path. This video definitely helped make sense of the 2.

as an artist with an eye for design I thought for sure I'd be drawn to UI but working collaboratively and breaking down the big picture energizes me so I think UX is the way to go!
