Hezbollah now rivals the Lebanese government in terms of power. Backed by Iranian support and endowed with battle-hardened fighters that have strong belief in a cause, Hezbollah has become a power player in the wider region. Through its never-yielding resistance against Israel, the group positions itself on the frontline of the emerging Cold War between its benefactor Iran and Israel. But Hezbollah is so much more than just a militant group, as its social services programme suggests. Even though it was created to serve the Lebanese Shia, it enjoys popularity amongst various other religious groups. In order to understand them better, we need to delve into their roots on the chaotic battlefields of the Lebanese civil war, which moulded Lebanon as we know it today.

A. Nobody is questioning whether hizb is stronger than the Lebanese army it’s a given

B. Whether the Syrian ppl like to believe it or not but their revolution was being hijacked by Isis whom invaded a large part of Syria and were on the borders of Lebanon and even carrying out suici*e attacks in Beirut if it was for hizballah involvement both Syria and Lebanon would have been lost to isis extremist
C. They weren’t “front line advisers “ they fought on the front lines taking town after town then the Syrian military would come in and babysit those taken towns

Before the Syrian war, Hezbollah was actually seen somewhat positively in the Arab world. This decision was also very controversial within Hezbollah. Many leaders of the group considered the intervention on behalf of Assad as straddling away from the goal of fighting against Israel and questioned whether Hezbollah is a resistance movement or just an Iranian proxy. They got the answer in the following years and the group's reputation was forever tarnished in the Middle East.

This is such a shallow and at points straight up falsehoods of what actually happened between Hezbollah and their activities in Syria. Quite frankly, they were one of the determining factors in defeating ISIL in the Levant. That alone is huge.

The most happiest people on Twitter/X i noticed are Syrians. They have been ecstatic about Hezbollah getting this much damage. Even though they helped him in killing his own people, Assad didn't help them or even condemn 😂. And iran has proven to be a regime of too much talking no acting, a paper tiger.
