Love this game, it's one of the comfy classics. I come back and replay it every couple years.

Hey! Just letting you know, we of the Endless Sky community are planning on updating the look of the game on steam- which is to say, the background and the screenshots, and maybe even the trailer. They're all several years old at this point and no longer reflect what the game looks like.

Regardless, thanks for giving us and our silly little game a chance!

You can hit 'L' from anywhere in the system to land. Though, if there's more than one planet or station in the system you need to be sure to click the right one first.

Pro tip, caps lock doubles the game speed. Crucial info right there, they really should make it more apparent.

ISTR playing this for a few weeks when you first(?) showed it several years ago. I don't remember fleet mechanics or boarding mechanics from then, but I do remember that a) there's a lot more varied stuff around than just the systems you flew around here (eg E & NE, but NW too); b) Reputation is /real/: some supposedly one-time passenger missions can turn into mini-quests over time depending upon whether you completed their previous stage (poss long after you'd forgotten it); & c) there are consequences to taking & abandoning a lot of missions, whether individual or part of a 'chain', which can add up over time

While Transcendence is more of a single-person mostly trading/shooting game & is heavily influenced by Nethack & similar roguelikes, ES has much more of a 'Starsector feel to it: there is combat; there's trading; there's piracy; there's faction politics etc etc & it's v much up to you to choose your own path!

I established a cruise ship empire. I ruled the endless skies with my vast income. I love this game.

A dull but reliable and effective way to start is to mine asteroids, there's a system that is medium safe but has incredibly high density of high value ore bearing asteroids.

I would do that for a bit then go straight into a nice ship.

ahh i'm gonna go do it again, it's been too long.

I remember this game, it's little difficult to get into, as I recall. But overall a fun game.
