In Sweden the base 14 pro with 16 gb ram and 512gb storage is the same price as the MacBook Air with upgraded storage to 512gb and ram to 16gb doesn’t make sense

Hey Chaps! CORRECTION: New MBP 13 (M2) has 2 USB C's and only outputs to 1 display (same as Air). Also - lots of comments saying 16GB/512GB model is too close to MBP 14 in price - and I think you're right! New MBA pricing is a bit tricky.

I had a macbook air in college: 2013-2017. Loved the thing, ended up giving it to my brothers wife because I ended up getting the Macbook pro 2017. Unfortunately, I did not enjoy my macbook pro 2017 (cost $1, 000+ more) over my 2013 macbook air.

I am so so excited that the M2 for the macbook air is here! I know this will be a game changer and will be so valuable!!!

It's interesting you say you think it's best to upgrade the ram and maybe storage etc because that puts it in the range of the 14 Pro which has the better display, speakers, performance, ports, supports multiple external displays etc. I'm loving the M2 but wish it was in at the 999 price point.

I'm curious how the m2 compares to the base 14 inch pro. They're pretty much the same money if you want 512GB storage and 16gb ram which I do.

Hooray for return of the MagSafe charger on MBA. Love the redesigned shell to match MBP. Has keyboard been upgraded too (to same as new MBP)? This is def the model to make me upgrade from 2015 MBA (Core i7)! Sadly not at the same £999 starting price though as M1 MBA

I don’t think the mentioned M2 13” advantages are quite right. According to Apple’s tech specs the M2 13” Pro has the same 2 x USB-C ports as the M2 Air and you can only output to 1 external display the same as the Air. If anything it has less ports because no MagSafe. Just to clarify in case this sways someone towards that model.

For a thin & light, it's a genuinely improved product and form factor and the processor has increased power and still great battery life. The downside is the cost of upgrade options like storage. Apple robs you on that side. If you can get the education store discount and either manage cloud storage and/or external SSD options, it can be worth it. Beautiful ultraportable!

My bro has the M1 air and i use the M1 mini and both perform absolutely amazing and rarely even get to a point where im actually pushing the power, i cant even imagine the power the M2 has … insane 💯🔥

I wish they reduced those bezels further especially the bottom bezel making them even all around and tried to fit a camera without introducing a notch.A fan would have improved the performance .A new 90 HZ or 120HZ variable refresh rate OLED display perfect upgrade.

This is the computer I’ve been waiting for — exclusively to use it with my iTunes library. The high resolution files are still not available on pc (preferred choice), the improved headphone plug is a plus, but I’ll still be using a dac with one of the two USB ports and high quality headphones.

I saw everyone likes the blue/black wherever it is but Gold color look really nice but really nice :) I am going with that for sure.
