I think you'll enjoy the mbunas more. More color and more activity. I feed mine pellet food. If you can get the veggie pellets that would be better for them.

I have a Top Fin 55 gallon too with a few goldfish. The one pf75 filter it came with doesn't seem to be keeping my water clear....I notice you have another filter....do you think one is not adequate for the size of this tank?
