i don’t know how i feel about this. I trust the Russos and i love RDJ but this just feels like a desperate move to get people interested. And Dr Doom should be his own character with his own identity apart from iron man. But I’ll wait to judge until i see more.

i like it bro, Iron man and Dr Doom are kinda like different sides of the same coin anyway. Iron Man AND the Man with the Iron Mask. One Evil One Good. Both rich af, both smart af, both enhanced themselves thru technology, IDK MAN its yin and yang, like what are the odds these two very similar and also polar opposite souls would be doppelgängers?(and a little bit of fan service) could be cool i fw it, multiverse shit baby, keep the variants coming!

As a diehard comic fan, I’m actually down for this in the MCU. I think this is great storytelling for the MCU. Peter is going to have to face off with someone who reflects his old mentor, the old Avengers team is going to be conflicted with fighting this Dr Doom while the new characters like the X-Men aren’t going to feel that same emotional weight and it’s going to put the new characters and old characters at odds with one another. I think it makes sense and works.

There is a Secret Wars tie in here with Stark and Doom. Even a Secret Wars comic was seen in the opening shots of The Void in Deadpool and Wolverine. I think I see the vision of what’s coming, and this will be an alternate Doom, but an intelligent and alliance drive Von Doom. Let’s talk about this on POPX tomorrow night!

I hear they also brought back Stephen McFeely to write the screenplay for these movies. So I'm so so with how they'll do it. RDJ coming back makes me grin but Idk what to think about this. It sounds like a great idea but they need to do the right story for this. It may take a while for them to get it right.

While he’s played by RDJ the Russos still refers to him as Victor Von Doom so I’m sure that this is like Chris Evens playing both Captain America and Johnny Storm like D&W which established that the same actor can play 2 completely different characters in the MCU
