Why Can't We Look at the Sun?

I used to stair at the sun for extended periods of time when i was a kid. Never caused me any issues, I have 20/20 vision.

10-15 sec staring at the sun will not do u any harm and it is good for your pineal gland. I find this video truly deceptive.

i can look at the sun... try to look at it you will see a black circle.. when i was smaller we play a game of "who can look at the sun longer."

we CAN look at the sun but if we do for a few seconds we go blind...

so are we told this. so that we have to buy "protective eye wear". cuz as a kid i always looked at the sun. i even looked at it for a while. and years later nothing happened. i still got that perfect 20/20 vision.

Some people (about 35%) have an association between the trigeminal nerve (the nerve that's responsible for sneezing) and the optic nerve ( the nerve that transmits visual impulses to the brain). Excess stimulation of the optic nerve from very bright and/or flashing light in turn stimulates the trigeminal nerve and causes a photic sneeze reflex.

That's bull, our eyes become more sensitive to the daily sunlight BECAUSE we're wearing sunglasses all the time ! We're turning into bats.
