Hi. Thanks for great tutorial. For newer version of debian is not working. I managed to get wifi working and connect it to my network, but after few minutes wifi goes to sleep and I get kicked from SSH. I have the same Ediimax adapter. Did you have some issues like that? Thanks!

one question @RaspberryPiIVBeginners, can multiple Android Apps connect this and receive via FPT (must install FTP server) by following the steps of this video and the other you did about FTP? thanks

Hi get the same error as the other but also it says "The RTL8188CUS driver module is noty installed", so not sure what is happening. I thought the script was supposed to download the drivers? Any suggestions please?

Actually it was a minor issue .... just got confused with the script & the the issues raised on the internet, so here we go

1) Install "Network-Manager" in XBMC & config the wifi
2) insert the dongle
3) in Raspbmc --> "apt-get install firmware-realtek"
3) reboot
5) done :-)

Okay. So I'm obviously a beginner of Linux.
When I put my script in the /var/tmp/ folder it says the directory doesn't exist. When I put it directly in the home/pi folder the cp command gets rejected due to identical files. And the sudo ./WiFi_au... command wont work either.. Please help me

After this the script aborts.

When i put my Micronext MN-WD152D my Raspberry crashes while it's on. It restarts and then I get about 200 timeout errors.

Also the installer won't work because he can't find my network while it is there...

Can this work if I am using Raspbmc? Tried the script and ended up getting this in the end:

I ran the script once but my network went down just as i was about to press A and now it says

so i ran the new script and it said the same thing.

Should work out the box as it uses the popular Realtek 8187L chipset.
