FYI and for the benefit of your viewers, the cable is supposed to go BEHIND the camera mount and be tucked between the dash and the windshield not cross in front.

The excess cord is supposed to be to the right of the Ring car cam. you have added strain tot he USB plug on the camera with this install.

WHEN you connect it to a rechargeable battery i will buy it .I dont want to risk using the car battery less it stop recording to save battery

Do you expect it to be powered on 24/7 ? I’m reading from other users only stays on for a few hours after shutting car down
