For the last two weeks I have been test feeding these plants with different nutrients. You don't have to spend alot of money to grow beautiful plants.

Miracle gro turned out to be a bit much for my brandywine seedlings so switched to fish hydrolysate which works better and plants look great.

Great video Khang. I've been using the Miricle Grow for a few years to grow my plants indoor before transplanting them outdoor. It works great and the shelf live is amazing.

Thanks so much for this video. I wondered why my organic solution would start growing mold after a few days! I'm glad you mentioned it going bad if kept mixed in the bottle.

If you want to see something startling then do a test on seed starting mixes. I did a test starting tomato seeds from miracle grow and jiffy. The jiffy seedlings were twice as big and beautiful as the ones grown in miracle grow starting mix.

Hi Khang
Would have been good to have had a fourth plant fed with just water
Cheers

Miracle Grow normally has a NPK of 24-8-16, of course it will produce lusher green leaves, thats what its designed to but it wont work for flowering where the dyna grow is able to be used during the flowering periods as well. If you are going to do a test, choose products with similar NPK's so people know what works best for vegetative and what works best for flowering / fruiting.

another great video Khang! thanks for taking the time to show you don't have to break the bank to feed your plants.

I also wanted to try the Dyna-gro and will have it in a couple of days. Have ordered the small size for experimentation purposes.

Miracle Grow makes bluish green water.

Good experiment, proper empirical science.

The miracle grow was overly fed, it could use much less as the plant is poisoned with too much green. You can see the Dyna grow and the natures care has a luster on the leaf that shows vibrant health. Very cool experiment!!

Hi Khang, I'm a huge fan of your videos! Just a small suggestion, perhaps it would valuable to have a control plant? One with no nutes, so we can see the difference. Keep up the amazing work, I've learnt so much from you, thank you!

Good experiment. Now and days I worry a bit less and usually mix up 1/4 strength MG or expert gardener with some Epsom salt and calcium nitrate. May try garden lime later as a 100% big box store experiment

Interesting. I'm new to this and what I have seen is a lot of snake oil in the gardening industry. If you see any organic hydroponic nutrients with no odor please let me know. I tend to stay away from MG products due to the whole Monsanto thing.

I just got Miracle Grow as I've had a lot of success with it in the past. I've never used it for hydroponic applications, however, so I'll be interested to see how it works long term. In the short term, it helped bring back a celery plant I thought was dead. I cut back all the dead material, leaving only a little green sprout, and put it in a solution of Miracle Grow and water. Within three days it perked up and is now looking healthy again.

Notice he is using Miracle-Gro Tomato Feed and not the classic Miracle-Gro All Purpose plant food (the blue stuff). The All Purpose plant food is not 100% water soluble and has a different NPK (24-8-16) than the Tomato Feed (18-18-21) and is water soluble. I read on a website that the classic Miracle-Gro is not the preferred type of Miracle-Gro product to use for hydroponics. So, it's best not to use the blue stuff!

Hi Khang, I realize this is an old video, but what is the medium mix you use in the double solo cup? I’ve looked around your site and can’t find one with explanation. Just got a grow tent & so excited to start new projects over the winter here in NTx. Love your videos and especially recycling products to garden 🌱🤓

The tomato feed probably has extra magnesium bc it's so green!

If only my peppers would look half as good as yours I would be so happy.
