The Heyday turntable is actually manufactured by Leetac, the same company that makes the turntable mechanisms used in most all-in-one systems. (Intertek is just a company who tests products for electrical safety, like UL.)

Fun fact: target sends stuff they can’t sell or other surplus to goodwill

I’ve had this turntable for a few years now and love it

I think this turntable looks great. It's also one of very few machines that actually transmit Bluetooth instead of just receiving it. As you said, this does detract from the analogue nature of vinyl but the fact is it adds alot of convenience too. There is alot to like here especially at this price.

I just picked one up on clearance for $60, seems good.

Based on your review I bought one, had to take it back it was a return, swapped it for a new one. Set up, the tonearm balances perfect, no clunkiness. Set it a 2.5 grams set the anti skating, connected to my Denon Avr 540bt, with 4 Numie BS5's a Numie CS 5 and Polk 10 inch sub. Started with Back In Black, now leavening to Chris Stapleton's Traveler. Sounds great. If you get one make sure it's new
Have a good one

Definitely a graduation from the Crosley Cruiser series. Pleasantly surprised in the quality of sound the Heyday unit puts out. Purchased the turntable last week and spent the weekend listening to hours of music. Your review helped with my purchase decision.

This at 99 bucks is a pretty decent turntable to me. Anti-skatting, pro-ish tonearm, steel platter, nice minimal design, audio-technica cartridge.

i have this turntable. I managed to buy i secondhand on offerup. It really is a great startup turntable- the bluetooth works great and the sound is so good. the cons is that i live in a house with wood floors and the anti-skate doesn't really work well. i did buy secondhand so i'm just grateful that it works well, still. I'm looking to upgrade to a better turntable soon. Thanks for your videos, i'm looking forward to updating you once i make a new turntable purchase.

I bought one of these Wednesday and I have to say, I am very happy with it. I live in apartment so I can’t play music loud or late at night, but I do have a pair of Bluetooth headphones...the range on the Bluetooth of this record player is very impressive. It is better than my iPad. For anyone tat is looking for a record player, but doesn’t want to spend a lot of money on it, this is a great one. Built-in pre-amp, interchangeable/upgradeable cartridge, counter-balance, anti-skate, very soft dampening, auto-stop...you can’t go wrong. One of my biggest concerns was my cats jumping on a record that was playing. A lot of suitcase players or all-in-one systems don’t let you shut the lid while playing a 12” record or there is a gap in the back where the record sticks out. That would not be a good match with cat claws. Sure, a cat could jump on top of it while playing a record, but odds are, the stylus would skip. That could lead to damage to a record, but it’s still better than a cat knocking the stylus around while playing an album or getting their claws on a record....

I now own this turntable and it has become my daily driver. Don't get me wrong, I love my AT-LP120 and use it when the occasion calls for it but as the one I keep out for average daily use it's this one. In fact, a neet detail that is not talked about enough by reviewers or the manufacture is that this turntable has a form of quartz lock with that plastic ring of fingers that are counted by the pick-up sensor they pass through just like an electronic speedometer or old school cruise control cars use to use. It makes for very reliable steady speeds of 33.3 and 45 RPMs. This turntable also has a very nice tone-arm assembly for its price range too!

i got this turntable a couple months ago. it's my first turntable so like i'm not sure if it was a great first time tt or not and there aren't many reviews about it. the cover of mine was super squeaky so i just took it off lmao that's the only annoying thing about it imo

This is the unit I have for the time being. (Will be upgrading in 2020) and my dust cover sounds like that as well.

I’ve has this turntable for almost a year. Tried different cartridges on it until settling on a Numark Groove Tool. Bluetooth works well. I did have to adjust the auto stop. I would not recommend heavy cartridges.

True story: I purchased this turntable about a year ago ago as I was on a continuing quest to recapture my youth. I was in search of and finding all of my vinyl from when I was a teen. I purchased this one because I was only now rediscovering vinyl and I was not going to throw down hundreds of dollars for some cork-sniffer approved turntable just so I could pride-sniff and say that I have a $500+ turntable. I’m just not at that point in my life anymore.

So I had it for a few months and it performed better than I expected. I only had one other tt to compare it to and that was my friend’s ATLP120. Stop before I get deluged with cork-sniffing replies about the ATLP120 and how it is not the end-all of TTS. I’ll grant you that but doing an apples to apples comparison, a $100 TT against a $300 TT was a fair comparison. I will always grant you that a more expensive TT will probably sound better, the law of diminishing returns notwithstanding.

I was happy enough with this heyday TT but I figured I wanted “more”. I searched for and found an almost exact copy of my childhood stereo which as it happened, had a functioning turntable. It was a Zenith IS4060. Again, no need for “yeah, that thing is a piece of crap and Crossley this and Crossley that”. I know guys, I know. So I purchased this “vintage” Zenith which of course I had to invest some money into because after all, it is 40 years old. Once I plopped down good cash for a new dust cover, changing the belts, re-lubricating it, new stylus and on and on, I had it in almost mint condition and my daughter got the heyday because apparently, vinyl is back according to teens. The heyday never failed to start, wobbled, skipped or did anything but sound good.

Meanwhile I was happy with my “vintage” Zenith IS4060 which looks awesome and gets all kinds of compliments until one day it started emitting this awful screech after the automatic tone arm went back to the start position once the record was done playing. I got a sinking feeling in my gut, the kind you get when your car engine makes a never before heard noise and your mind spits out one word: “money”. I turned it off and on again but it was still screeching. I switched the function knob to radio and it was screeching there too. It wasn’t a feedback sound, it was more like the sounds of sand paper screeching across glass or nails on a chalkboard. Pretty awful. So thankfully it stopped after a few minutes of being off but then it started again. Long story short, it is back at the shop for more $.

I should have known better. I once had a classic Mustang which I loved and it got all kinds of compliments probably by the same people who’d love my Zenith. But that car was in the shop more than it drove. It broke down constantly not because it was lemmon or because I didn’t take care of it, it was just old. Old things break down. Poorly made new things break down too, there’s no doubt about that but much less so than so-called “vintage” things. So lesson learned, again.

This turntable, the Heyday is the “just right” turntable, especially if what you want is a tt that sounds good and you’re not concerned at all with “likes”.

I'm really interested in this 'table. The only purpose for that slot on the plinth under the platter is for a speed-feedback loop, which is a strong indicator that this turntable probably has fairly accurate speed control. The major selling points for me are the provisions for a proper cartridge, the adjustable counterweight and anti-skating (assuming the AD dial isn't just for show), and that nice metal platter.

I'm going to look into one right away. The Bluetooth, even though I won't use it much, is a nice feature that opens up quite a few possibilities. The feature set, particularly at the $100 price point, exceeds that of the vaunted Audio-Technica LP60.

The really good news is that this thing, if it's as good as it appears to be, is going to light a fire under the asses of other manufacturers of entry-level audio equipment.

You sold me on this turntable. Picked it up right after Christmas and I’m now building my setup around it. Was originally looking at the LP60X but the upgrades in this Heydey were too good to pass on. Thank you and consider me now locked in as a future viewer.
