Introduction to the GeneratePress Block Element

With GeneratePress Block Elements, you can now easily hook your block based designs into any area of your website. Create custom GeneratePress headers, footers, sidebars and more. I show you how to easily add an author box to all of your blog
posts using block elements with GenerateBlocks.

You will need to have GenerateBlocks installed, then import the json file into the Reusable Blocks section where you can customize it to use on your website.

Pretty cool. Didn’t know that. More videos on how to customize your GP site with Elements would be awesome.

So these block elements are sort of "reusable blocks" that can be implemented outside the main content area, unlike the usual Gutenberg reusable blocks? Is that a fair description?

Where did you make the "About the author" section? You imported a ready-made one in the video and then edited it

Thanks Mike, nice little tut. Do you know whether GenerateBlocks can inherit the color pallette from GeneratePress.

Mike, can you build a header that includes logo and 720x90 banner with menu bar below it with this? Great video BTW. Thanks.

Great video, thank you very much. I fumbled my way through importing the JSON file, never done that before. When I uploaded the GP theme, it's the whole zip file, but with this author box, it's just the JSON file within the zip file. Learned something today! Hopefully I did that right :)

How do you get the drop-down arrows for your blocks when you search for a block? At the 2:42 mark, Layout Elements, Widgets, etc. Mine just has a button at the bottom that says "Browse All".

You give as much detail as needed, but also you don't dawdle.

Thanks Mike, I've been playing around with this and it is really powerful - one obvious thing I would like to see is how you would suggest pulling in the author's info (image, name, bio) from the user's info for each blog post ?
