Hi Marty, the picture-in-picture idea is great! So nice to watch you drawing and commenting on your drawing at the same time. I also like the more detailed review scale.

Wow, great job Marty! I like the changes that you made. I especially like the more detailed demo of the products in an actual application, the added details of the other materials you are using (like the paper brand), the ranking system, and the comparisons with other brands of products. Thumbs up all the way. :)

Love the new changes you are implementing. As always you are so detailed with your reviews. I will be honest, you are the first place I come to when I am contemplating a new art purchase. You haven't steered me wrong, I value your opinion very much, so thank you for all you do! So happy to see your face again as well. Best wishes on a healthy and happy 2016.

I just found you while checking out your review on Marco Raffine pencils and just wanted to say that you produce great videos! I can't wait to watch more and now I've added MORE pencils to my wish list!

Hey man, this one if not, the MOST complete review I've seen so far. A friend and I are starting to really enjoy adult coloring but we want some not so expensive materials to try on rather than Crayola and what not. We've seen the Scholar set of 60 pieces and we were a little bit skepctical but this sure talks for them. Thanks a lot!!

Another great video which was truly a delight to see!C: I was really excited for this one because the scholars are the current coloured pencils I own, and I want to try the Utrecht coloured pencils soon too (they're on clearance so I have to hurry just incase--!))
And knowing the differences between student grade pencils versus premier ones is very interesting!
Also, I really liked the new features you added to your video! It seemed like a lot of editing, and it really paid off!
Well done on another awesome video, Mr. Marty!c:

Do you have any old Berol Prismacolors to review? I know they're no longer being made...but it would be interesting to see what an artist perceives the differences are between the new Premieres and old Berols.

Thank you for your kind words. Now back to pencils - a happy topic :-). My boyfriend (Joe) and I went to Michael's last night and he got a set of 24 Prisma Scholars. I told him even on sale at Michael's they are $4 cheaper on Amazon. He said for $4 I will just get them tonight. when I drop him off at home I say when I call you later let me know how you like the pencils. He says oh I won't try them out until I stay with you this weekend. I wanted to shake him! So I don't know yet how he likes them but I think he will. Another question for ya -. Do you know anything about pencils by the brand of Sudee Stile? A set of 120 is very cheap and I am contemplating getting them for a wide color range --but the written reviews are so mixed =-O

Your voice is soothing and thanks for the review. Shocked that other companies don't have colors written lol

I have those Marty, the 60 set box! I have lots of fun with them. Actually Prismacolor Scholar 60 set is 58 colors, because it comes with two blacks and two whites. I guess maybe it´s because the artist´s students use them a lot for practicing? You are the expert Marty, is my conclusion right? And your drawing is super cool! I like it! Also, I like the video inside the video, cool! :)

I just bought a few Premium Prismacolor pencils at Michael's because they had a buy one get one half off deal. I bought the individual ones so I could make sure the cores were centered in the barrels - I have seen lots of people complain how that can be a problem. While there my boyfriend spotted these scholar version and said maybe he should get those. Snobby me talked him out of it =-O. I bought him a Deadpool adult coloring book for Christmas and he is very happy with that. Maybe I should go back and get these. I thought they blended rather well in your demo. I am not really a snob lol - I love my cheap Penway kids for coloring certain things. I received Marco Raffine for Christmas, and enjoy them as well. Is there a big difference between them and the Marco Renoir by the same company? Thanks for all of your great reviews - I have been binge watching your channel ! :-):-):-)

I just joined the Adult Coloring craze and have been researching all the pencils on Amazon and thought I would check Youtube. I typed in colored pencils and saw your review on the Marco pencils which I am contemplating and then saw this one, which one of these 2 do you think is better for coloring? I really like your thorough reviews, they are very helpful, thanks!

Thank you for the video and awesome insight and honest reviews you offer :) I've been contemplating which colored pencils to buy and these were at the top of the list. Now, I'm not quite sure. I recently joined the adult coloring craze and love it and have been using Crayola colored pencils and Prismacolor Premier colored pencils...both are okay, but not great. I tend to push extremely hard when coloring and the colored pencils I use tend to crumble. I'd sure appreciate your input Marty :) I have a birthday coming up and am seriously considering the Faber Castell Polychromos :D What do you think?

Hello Marty from owingsart.com! I love all of the informative videos you've made. I think you mentioned you have access to a Blick art store. Could you do a review of the Blick Studio colored pencils please? I live in central Texas, so I can't just go pick up a few open stock. I want to know if they are a good replacement for my prismacolors. Thanks!
