0-100 years in Arabic (Morocco)

In 2012 I made the first 'from 0 to 100 years' in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. The idea was to find 100 people in the streets (from baby to 100 year-old) and ask them to state their age in the camera, just the number of their age and edit this in the rhythm of their counting. To my surprise and excitement, the video went viral. A few years later I made versions in New York, Barcelona and Senegal. And recently I went to Marrakech, Morocco, to make one in Arabic.

This was probably the hardest one to make; with less than 24 hours before my return flight to Amsterdam, I was still missing 7 ages. But with the help of my local assistants, we mustered forces and inventiveness to pull it off- which we did… Enjoy.

For the people who say “this people look old for their age” Yes ofcourse they do. You cant compare life of the poor, hardworking people in the Moroccan sun, with your life. The people who are filmed, live in the hot, sunny south of Morocco. Which is obvious based on their skintone. People from the North of Morocco look very different.
