We just finished tearing down Samsung’s latest flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S20 Ultra, but we couldn’t help but wonder: what’s inside the not-so-ultra S20 phones? We’ve got the S20+ on our Teardown table today and we’re ready to take a look.

The "telephoto" camera doesn't have a 3x zoom. It has NO optical zoom whatsoever. Or be more precise: it has a 1.06x Zoom.

I think it's fair to give that score. Repairability isn't even part of factors of why I bought my phone anyways. I'm curious if the IP68 features require such adhesive and complete seal, hence the trouble of opening it.

The glue in the top corner of the camera side is getting off.
And would it be ok to just put a bit of glue in this corner?

I agree on everything except the screen. These really are not typically meant for digitizer only repairs. The service packs from samsung come with a new screen/frame preinstalled so you can just transfer motherboard and small parts over.

Where is the 126gb if internal memory? Is it possible to switch it out with 256gb from a compatible phone?

Perfect one to ask this question: I accidentally shoved the ejector pin into the hole in the bottom of the phone (microphone opening?) instead of the SIM card tray hole… Do you think that I could have damaged anything (waterproofing, that rectangular component on the USB PCB looking like a crystal, etc.)?

Does the s20+ has the 5g milimeter antennas in the tear down as well? And is the availability of the antennas based on the region in which the phones are sold?

I accidentally inserted sim eject tool in microphone of Samsung galaxy S20+ on the top microphone. Will it damage the microphone or waterproofing barrier.
