"without trig" - every time you use a dot product, you implicitly use a cosine, and every time you use a cross product, you implicitly use a sine, so there is plenty of trig here :P
(Incidentally, multiplication of quaternions more or less just merge the dot and cross products into a combined thing, much like how the Euler identity combines cosine and sine into an exponential function)

Thank you for the video! Let me ask you, do you have any plans for creating realistic eye shader? This is a difficult task mainly due to optical refraction for the iris. I've seen a similar shader used for a realistic eye in the Unreal engine and I'm sure it's possible in blender.

"Clicks not registering" has been fixed for a while. Blender was utterly unusable until that was fixed.
