Did You Know In X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST…

There is a scene that resembles panels from a particular comic book storyline. During the movie’s final battle, Magneto weaves bars throughout Logan’s body so that he can both injure and control him so he cannot attack. The image created from this is very reminiscent of the final battle seen in the Fatal Attractions storyline which was released in October 1993. In this instance, Magneto levitates Logan and rips the adamantium from his skeleton, which nearly ends up killing him.

Damn. The shit logan has been through is insane

You also forgot to add that when he did this. Professor X had enough of Magneto and made his former best friend's mind a vegetable.

That was so jarring when it happened in 1993. Back then, Wolverine and his adamantium claws were everything. When Magneto ripped the adamantium out of his body, we never thought we'd see something that insane in Marvel comics. And finding out that Wolverine had bone claws underneath was a big twist at that moment, as up until that point, we all assumed that his claws were strictly adamantium.

In that same storyline, Magneto almost kills Cable by destroying his bionic parts. Two huge moments in one saga.

Logan has to be one who has been through a lot of pain compared to others.

The power of healing like logan is like a gift but also a curse, he feels everything done to him but it never kills him. Just the constant pain of it

When you were young, Wolverine was just a grumpy soldier. When you get older, you realize he been through the gauntlet of multiple hard lifetimes and most likely has all kinds of ptsd and psychological trauma.

Magneto is the most ill-suited opponent for Wolverine, yet Wolverine is always picking a fight with him 😂

Remember in Wolverine 100 When cable" s misguided Son " Genesis" tried to infuse the admantium taken from the remains of Cyber back into Wolverine? He rejected the process and in turn became a more feral version of himself! That was an interesting storyline for a while!

Professor X and Jean are the only ones that held his body together while his was being "ripped apart" great comic gritty and dark

Ironically ripping the adamantium out of his skeleton would probably save his life in the long run

Yea but the reason in this movie why he weaves the re bar through him is bc he didn’t yet have his admantium

Why do the creators love hurting Logan so much? It's like they have a hard on for it :'t

Then Chuck switches off Magneto mind and gets infected in the process. Which then creates Onslaught!

Only to find out in the movie Logan that this probably would have ended up saving Logan’s life in the future

If this is the storyline I'm thinking of, I think this event also put Logan out of commission for a pretty long time. Logan wound up leaving the team for a bit because his regeneration stopped working properly. He was out of the comics for long enough that there was a chance this event was his exit from the series.

The adamantium makes I’m practically immortal because the source of his regeneration is protected at all times. The problem is that the adamantium is slowly killing him. He still doesn’t age the same as normal people do obviously, but if you notice before he ever had the metal in his body he was aging like he was in his 20s when he was in his hundreds then once the metal was in his body he started aging drastically faster than he should have been due to it weakening his abilities and slowly killing him. So practically the metal is what’s actually killing him but it keeps him basically immortal because his healing source will never be destroyed and constantly heal him but his abilities are weakened due to the metal. Remove the metal and now he is no longer practically immortal and he is drastically easier to harm and kill or capture, however his abilities are now no longer being weakened and even though he can’t cut through anything anymore he sure as fuck can still cut through you, so now unless you’re putting a bullet through his brain (assuming you even can) you have to deal with full power max regeneration Wolverine
