I just found this channel and am in HEAVEN! I don't ride anymore, but am 52 years old and came from the 2-stroke racing/riding era. So many of these bikes I rode, raced, trail rode, hill climbed, etc. WOW, what a trip down memory lane. It's so cool to see these bikes restored, FANTASTIC to say the least! It's interesting to see on some of your other videos the dyno tests and just the general conversation about the new 4-stroke power versus the older 2-stroke power debate. I have ridden the new 4-strokes because I'm still friends with some younger guys that still ride/race and find the timing a little tough to adjust to when it comes to big jumps and the exit off the lip of the jump. Several years ago a friend of mine that's younger and still racing wanted me to help set up his CR450F and so I spent some time on it and with him. This you might find interesting: I had him practice on a new 250 2-stroke for weeks and not get on a 4-stroke. He had to make adjustments to utilizing that narrow power band and not relying on always having that bottom end power of a 4-stroke. I won't say it was easy for him at first because he had a rough time with timing on jumps because he had to be more precise with throttle/timing on jumps, but once he finally got everything dialed in a on a 2-stroke and I had him get back on the 4-stroke his performance and lap times drastically improved. If nothing else, whether it's desert racing, motocross, supercross or even just your weekend warrior dirt bike rider: a lot can be learned from riding a 2-stroke- even if you stick with a 4-stroke. I live in WA state, but there's no doubt I'd like to come your way within the next year and check out your facility! Love your setup, enthusiasm, people you have working for you, the bikes and just the over-all concept of what you're about and doing. Wouldn't mind trading some ideas in the future. Keep up the great work!

Legend has it the 1884 was one of the fastest bikes, the calmed it down in 1985, these things were like a race motor that year but they were grenading themselves MXA said you had to buy pistons by the dozen.definitely a collectors item.

Ah damn!.. I love this channel!.. This generation of CRs are my favorite. Honda red with the blue is by far the best color on the CRs for me. I've had a few.. They are rippers for sure! Great presentation on these videos.. Can tell you guys are passionate about the bikes of this Era as well.

She's a rippa and wicked fast! :-} And Ken is a big guy. Can you imagine skinny 150LB riders on there back in the day! Absolutely love your videos Ken and team, keep it up! I had all these bike posters on my wall as a kid in the 80's and would day dream about them. Happy to say I finally full filled my dream at 48 and found me a 93 CR250R L-)

Exhaust bridge was huge on those, ate pistons. You can hear the piston slap, won't last long.
