Today, in our sports encyclopedia series we will talk about Toe Wrestling.
In Toe Wrestling two players locking their big toes together, and attempt to force their opponent's foot to the ground
The objective of the game is to pin the opponent’s toe for three seconds straight.
Toe Wrestling is an individual sport where two fighters compete against each other.
The game takes place on a surface that is known as toedium.
Before the match, each player has to undergo a full toe inspection before entering the match.
Before entering the contest, all the players are required to take off their shoes and socks and proceed bare feet.
Two competitors, with their shoes off, face each other toe to toe with their toes on the toedium.
The game begins when they interlock their big toes and try to force each other off the toedium, similar to arm wrestling.
Players should make sure that while they are locking toes, their feet should touch the other's foot flat.
The player is required to pin the opposite player’s toe for three seconds straight to win the round.
Three rounds of toe wrestling are played with the right foot, then the left, and then the right one.
The first participant who manages to win two of the three or all three rounds is declared the winner.
