Take Action to Save Cats from Government Testing! (BIG UPDATE!)

Several weeks ago I told you about government laboratories performing cruel and deadly experiments on cats and kittens at the VA. Now I've got a BIG UPDATE for you: thanks to all of you calling for change, a bill has JUST been introduced that would permanently shut down these horrific experiments. Now it's time to TAKE ACTION and ask Congress to pass the CATS Act - HR 8867!

*update* I’ve now fostered over thirty kittens and I currently have two 9 day old babies that I’ve had for a little while. I named them Huckleberry and Honeybee. They’re both gaining weight and healing from their medical issues beautifully.

And THIS was why I refused to work as a vet tech in the laboratories at Bethesda, MD. I was offered to go work in RESEARCH, which would have made my life financially after I got out of the military, or just work in a regular vet clinic at different military installations. I knew I just couldn't do it. The building at WRAIR had protesters in vet tech school. We were told to ignore them but I listened to them from a distance, I heard them rather. It stayed in my heart an influenced me to not chose that path when the schooling was up. Funny how some tiny thing or tiny voice can influence an entire life. But I just couldn't ethically do stuff like that. I grew up on a farm and KNEW what kind treatment was and we always had pets, but I can imagine someone who didn't grow up on a farm and KNOW their IS a different way to treat animals wouldn't have a clue and would think nothing of it.

This brought tears to my eyes to hear about catsact. I love my cats so much and can’t bear anybody being cruel to such naturally loving animals that cannot defend against cruel people.

It breaks my heart to see this kind of things. I'm not a US citizen so I may not be able to do much, but I have signed the petition! I pray that the act will pass, I'm sure we can do it!

It truly breaks my heart that cruel researches like this still exist in the name of science. Thank you Hannah for raising awareness and for fighting for this Kitties and Cats that deserve to live a happy caring life and not be submitted to this torture.
