Great video BRS! I has given me the confidence to go for it and I've been purchasing my setup piece by piece. I've dosed and kalkwasse dripped and believe this is more natural, less work and cost effective in the long run. that dosing stuff can be a challenge too depending on the brand of salt you use etc. I an old Navy Chief we K.I.S (keep it simple). As for the setup I am planning to use an Aquamaxx Ctech reactor, Tunze regulator and a Tom Aquatics dosing pump I just need to purchase an American pinpoint PH controller as I can't afford the $800 for the Apex at this time. None the less I'm open for pointers as this is an never ending hobby that you ALWAYS learning from. By the way I do like that skillz reactor with the secondary media chamber.

if I have the apex system, second pH probe and solenoid valve I don't need to buy milwaukee controler. correct? can connect solenoid valve directly to the apex?

Hello Ryan, great video. I want to know if you can do a video installing a second pH probe in an Apex. One for the display and one for the calcium reactor. I don't understand how to do it. Thank you very much

Side note: you don't use Teflon tape on the CO2 tank threads. They have a gasket for this. Adjustable crescent wrench would also work better and not screw up the nut. :)

How frequently do you have to re-add media? and how frequently do you have to calibrate the ph probe in the reactor?

How can that Sicce pump continue working with it's outlet at basically a drip on the output side of the reactor? It seems like the output of the pump is effectively capped off so that there is basically almost infinitely high backpressure on it, and would kill the pump. That is the one thing I don't understand about calcium reactors.
