that looks like a great reactor, I wouldn't run one without a pH probe port in the reactor body though. It allows you to dial the internal pH of the reactor in, and that lets you determine the strength of the effluent. This way you can maintain a steady stream of effluent (not just drips, since drips can clog over time), and not overdose the tank in doing so. As your alk and ca needs increase, you just steadily lower the reactor pH until you find the sweet spot that the tank ALK and CA no longer fall from consumption.

That being said, great review and it looks like an awesome unit! Is it noisy?

Any plans to add a Pyramid butterflyfish to this tank like you did with your previous tank? Can you offer any insight into the behavior of these fish in a reef tank?

Do you prefer RO/DI water as opposed to some type of oil for the bubble counter? What is a good lubricant for the O-rings?

Keith... Are you setting the ph of your tank or the reactor at 7.8? I was confused at this part of the apex setup because last time i ran a reactor successfully I was keeping the ph of the reactor around 6.4-6.5.
Does ARM media even dissolve at 7.8?

I am considering this calcium reactor on my 230 gallon tank that is heavily populated with SPS. Currently use 2-part and dose about 400 ml of all per day. I see this reactor is rated for up to 700-gallons so would this be overkill?
