The counter was sold as parts or repair on eBay, sure enough it booted up very slowly, and didn't read a frequency, also all of the front panel buttons are faulty, due to age they fail, a common fault with these switches, they cannot be repaired, only replaced with something similar (which also has to be made to work).

Very nice job.
I've just bought a used one and I'm waiting its delivery.
What do you think about using one or two washers between the pcb and the front panel to compensate the difference between the switches height?
Sorry, due to language difference, I couldn't understand the type of glue you used to fix the caps on the switches. Would you tell me which one was used, so I can try to find a similar here in Brazil?

Nice fix! Now try to find out why they all failed.

I replaced my switches long time back but could never get the tops reattached so might give these a try. I have the 1992 version which has a 1.3Ghz additional input.
thanks

I'm having exactly the same issue right now. The linked switches are unfortunately not shipping anymore. Does anyone has a suitable replacement which still ships? Otherwise I'm thinking to use regular 2-pole tactile switches and 3d-print small cross fit adapters which will sit between the switch and the plastic cap and keep the caps in place preventing them to fall out...
