I had a similar problem with my car keyfob button....
I had an old TV remote kicking around the workshop...I removed the button sheet and cut out a button...worked a treat!
Only had one to fix though!

good follow up, I have a 1992 coming today hope the switches are better

Would have been interesting to have sacrificed one of your new switches to see what was inside one of those, for comparison.

received the 1992, and most switches bad, this was listedas used, and paid 135.00 shipped, so I opened a case, because used means it is fully functing so I asked for total refund, the seller has not responded, april 12th ebay will decide in my favor if they dont
