My Roman Empire is the day I discovered this band called Capstan in a bar. They opened for my favorite band Bayside on December 12, 2019. I instantly fell in love. By the time we flew to Portland, OR to follow the same tour on December 17th I had learned every song. So, of all the bands I've seen open for Bayside, that I had never listened to, Capstan became my other favorite band.

Went through the whole album and I'm mindblown, they mix heavy and soft in such a unique way, this is refreshing and so good !

My Roman empire is finding random unique things in antique stores and collecting them. I have found alot of old music related items that I love finding. I am a musician myself and have found really cool parts of music history such as an alto horn from the 1930s which later evolved into the modern marching band mellophone and an old wooden organ pipe tuner that is in the shape of a pipe from an organ and plays pitches when blown into.

Also, love your music! Hope to see you all in Baltimore or Mechanicsburgh in May!

My Roman Empire was my first time driving out of state by myself from Vegas to California to meet John Carpenter. As my gps told me to take the route through the angeles mountains at 5 a.m with no service besides gps working. As I returned home to Vegas I found out my car battery was beyond toast and thinking back I could have been stranded anywhere in the mountains of a foreign state with reception on my own just to meet a legendary horror director/composer and in the end it was all worth it. Amazing song Capstan see you in Vegas 🤘
