I’m loving these unpolished tutorials of your workflow. It’s always interesting to see other people’s editing style/workflow. Also when I discovered that audition trick it changed the way I live life.

Not sure if you have seen it, but there is a limit; 40 per day. After you hit 20 or so a dialog pops up to let you know the daily limit. Thus, 365 x 40 would be 14, 600 which would of course be more than enouh. It's just not "unlimited" like Audio Blocks supposedly is (which BTW has much less quality music IMHO).

I've gotta say, this episode was awesome. To actually see Ryan go through the process himself, it really feels like sitting with him and learning. One of my favorite modern Film Riot episodes to date.

You should turn these into a podcast... I don't really have much time to watch anymore, but I'd love to listen to these!

I love how music can alter the meaning/viewpoint of a film or clip. Music is, in my opinion, one of the most important part of a film.

Thank you SO MUCH for suggesting artfilm because it always seems like music is such an important part of a short film which it is, but finding the right music to set the right tone for a clip isn't easy, which is why finding the right music can make a GREAT different in your film. So thank you so much, I just checked it out and it looks like I'm gonna buy it so once again THANK YOU for making my skits better 🙏🙌❤

Seeing the same scene with different music is really fun and educational! I could watch hours of it, please do more!

I love the 'big production value' sketches film riot does. But this episode is awesome. It was great to see Ryan geek out on different music vibes.

Wow! That remix function is going to change my life. Thanks a ton Film Riot!
Please do make a video on such shortcuts that can change the whole editing style:D

I had no idea you could remix songs in Audition. Definitely a game changer for my editing process. Thanks!

Up and coming and indie producers need to be mindful that their score isn't bigger than the scene. See that all the time.

I've been using music from SmartSound for years. Their prices treat both the artist and end user with respect, the work is very high quality, the terms are reasonable and include all the social media stuff you'd expect, and the number one reason is their proprietary software: Inside it you tell it how long you need the music and it intelligently (in my experience - not talking AI here) edits to length a version of the original song within a few frames typically, but sometimes a second or so, to fit. Plus you can get mixes for VO, without percussion, as "big" as possible, etc., all with the same "song" and software. Pretty amazing.

Hey Ryan - this video was a golden nugget!!! it is so helpful to right away hear your thoughts about editing-desicions while you are making them. This is totally different to the usual "explaining afterwards" - style. I really liked this!!:)
(I hope, you can understand my english and get the point..)
