CIP systems An overview

CIP system short for Clean in Place system is a method of cleaning equipment and machinery internally without dismantling the manufacturing unit. Water purification units in pharmaceutical manufacturing plants have efficient CIP systems installed that clean the plant's machinery and also the distribution and storage systems. A CIP system ensures that the water purification system stays clean. It utilizes a combination of suitable detergent/solvents, at pre-set flows and kinetic energy applications, appropriate temperature and pressure for a requisite amount of time.
