Inflation is far more harmful to individuals than a collapsing stock or property market because it directly affects people's cost of living, which they immediately feel. It is not surprising that the current market sentiment is extremely pessimistic. In today's economy, assistance is critical if we are to survive.

Mick.... I lived in Turkey for 3 years, albeit a few years ago, locals could afford to eat at these restaurants. It is evident it is now pretty much tourists as only they can easily afford this. The prices you say are "pretty good" I fear are way too would expect the prices to be at least half this if I were to go me feel very uneasy situation is not stable in my opinion.

The silent sufferers of the ongoing problems are the stray cats and dogs. Cats have it easier of course, but their food has gotten so expensive, not to mention basic veterinary care (for example neutering or spaying). Where I used to donate monthly to animal sanctuaries, since the start of 2023, I haven't been able to donate anything because I'm in debt just feeding the cats and dogs in my neighbourhood. To anyone visiting, please please support animal charities and ngo's. Thank you!

We're in turkey at this moment and we found it to be pricey compared to 2019 when we were here. When you convert TL to another currency 💲💵 other than the UK pond it's expensive😮 most things in stores are above prices back home Australia, 😵‍💫 Also when Turkish establishments see a foreigner the price starts from top 🔝, absolutely NO prices on any products apart from chain stores. Tied of bartering 🤪

I am in Turkey now. I stayed at a hotel in Antalya for $37/night last summer. This summer is $85/night for the same place and same time of the year.

Income distribution has deteriorated so much that the middle class has disappeared, there are 2 classes as rich and poor, and the holiday areas have become livable for tourists and rich Turks.

In my opinion, there will be less demand or people will visit but will reduce the length of stay. Personally, I have chosen another country this year for vacation.

As a young girl, I don't feel safe because of refugees. As a student, I can't get the things I want, everything is so expensive... I need a computer but the prices are going up every day. Life is very hard. I've never even been able to go on vacation in my life. Refugees and Turks living abroad to come and buy whatever they want but we can't buy what we want that's not fair. I deserve to live like a human being. They say" Your country is beautiful the economy is good, but they don't know what we're going through. Thanks for this insightful video

3 years ago when we arrived a 3 bed apartment was 3500tl then the second year it went to 5000tl then last year shot up to min 10000tl currently a 2 bed and 3 bed will set you back 15000tl. a month. irrespective of this we have no plans to return to UK fingers crossed we love our new home and adopted people. Show them respect and they do same back.
