Who needs a Tormek ($$$) wet grinder. All you need is a Ridgid Oscillating spindle sander to sharpen with. That was great!

It looks like the Jacobs chuck worked great for you. That process seemed solid enough that it seems that lathe would be able to push in a larger forstner bit as well, say into the top of a hollow form to get started. The lathe I've got now is an older guy, but it has a solid headstock spindle (so I can't use a MT2) and a tailstock that accepts a MT1. So I'm looking at different options and still conserving floor space.

Nice. I have made 3 pens to date. I did make a little wand to help insert the brass tubes. Works well, but only used it once so far. Keeps the CA glue off your fingers.

Dude I love your videos!
1) you’re entertaining with your Everyman style so I totally relate. I often hear you say Doah!? Just like I do!.
2) you just dive in there and try stuff and film the whole damn thing mistakes and all. Much better than perfect execution videos.
3) I actually learn something from every one of your projects.

Rock On!!

As somebody who has worked in the service industry, and an avid gamer, YOU CAN NEVER HAVE TOO MANY PENS! or pencils.... or dice.
