I didn't watch this when it first came out. Watched the whole series the other day, my God. What a beautiful story if it had played in theaters Academy awards for sure. What I still don't understand is why, at the end, the sheriff said they had to separate could not be together. I know he explained it, but the way they felt about each other, why didn't they ride off together was it because of her illness they all knew it wouldn't work.

Ta historia złamała mi serce😢 byłam zszokowana zakończeniem. Oni nie mogli być razem: jak Cornelia mogłaby znieść, że Eli ogląda jej stopniowe umieranie, wyniszczenie ciała? Ja bym czegoś takiego nie zniosła. Na jej miejscu nie mogłabym tak żyć, czekając na śmierć, bez nadziei, z tymi wszystkimi wspomnieniami. Myślę, że sama bym się zabiła. Ona była nieprawdopodobnie odważna. Nie umiem się pozbierać po tym serialu.
