Record dry voice on a different track and send the output of that track to your FX chain track, there should be less PDC delay

I'm definitely going to have to try this out cause recording vocals in ableton can be annoying with the latency issue

Hey Morgan you’re on the right track. My approach is to create a vox group and put the plugin at the group level. I have 2 tracks in the group, one set to monitor off and armed for record. The second track I color red and call “hot mic” and set monitor to “in”. That track is not set to record it’s just a cue. No w record your part. You will hear a little latency as you are recording, but that latency will not be recorded as it would have been if you had the plugin directly on the recorded track. Works well for me. Setup ur vocal chain plugins for monitoring on gigperformer or any other vst host software (64 sample rate). U can send wet signal to ableton and also record the dry signal in ableton live.

$4000 computer vs 2 plugins. Ableton audio latency has been fricked since 2009.

I figured my issue out. Compressor plugin on the master track. Disabling didn't help. I had to delete it and gained back a half second of delay.

What about latency while you do a live?

But, but... but, but... then you can't hear what it sounds like "as" you are recording it :-/ Some video elsewhere mentioned there's a PCI or a ThunderBolt sound card that has near-zero latency. Anyone have experience with that? Is that true?

Or you could just turn off the device while recording.
