Love these! Thanks for the video! Been doing only these daily for about six months with 50 pound dumbbells. You'd think it's not enough to only do these and no other exercise, but my body feels great. It keeps "normal everyday" body movements up to date and makes the heart work, which is all I need. Granted, before this regime I'd been a very frequeny gym goer for 15 years... But still, this works better for me than isolation stuff.

This looks like a perfect full body exercise. I don't care much for isolation movements; I think compound exercises are superior overall.

THANKS! That is a great instruction video with attention to detail with pointers on things like knee position a careful explanation of the sequence. I'm a 75 year old dude with no llusions of grandeur. I work to keep as fit as possible and at my age you have to get the most bang for your buck. I use this exercise combined with 3 others like dumbbell lunges into curls. 4 exercises for 30 minutes and the results are excellent.

The missing piece for me was "technique" and this video was a terrific aid! Again thanks.

Looks like a great exercise. Probably important to go light for a while to get the mechanics down.

You could probably make it more hypertrophic and more intense with the same or less weight if you focused on slowly descending from the overhead position back down to the floor. An advantage that the dumbells have over the barbell is that freedom of movement of the wrists. Overall I like it and it’s become a staple of my workouts.

Arnold Schwarz said this is the move that hits every single body part and its so good that you won't even need the weights if youre just starting working out. Great exercise
