As a Norwegian I am offended for the fish because it's so good!! Put it in a pan with butter and salt after you catch it and its the best. Also mackerel in tomato sause is so good, its a Norwegian classic topping

Mackerel in Italy is considered one of the healthiest fish to eat because full of Omega 3 fat.
Is one of the Oily Fish.
Have a little bit strong taste, meaning it does not have a delicate taste as usual for fish, but this make it a good choice to change the flavour for once.
Being fat the best way to cook it is on the grill.

I live in Japan, they grill it right. It's absolutely delicious. Beautiful oily meat with crispy flavorful skin. One of the best fish for grilling.

MACKEREL IS CONSIDERED AS TRASH FISH?! Here in the UK smoked mackerel is pretty expensive and tastes WONDERFUL! Rich depth of flavour, variety of textures especially near the fatty stomach part, and even regular mackerel is lovely once prepared. This is crazy news to me, when i saw the start of the vid I thought 'hey that trash fish looks a lot like mackerel' and then it was lol

when i was young we would go out and fill a boat, and let me tell ya. that is not how you clean a fish :D and the macrell we would eat freeze sell and give away to anyone and everyone. just 2 lads 8years old out in a 14footer on the norwegian coastline with a coupple of spools, 8 hooks a peice.

I think these Mackerel are very pretty! Also I don't believe in trash fish. I believe in food. And any safe, catchable fish can be a good food!
