It's kind of funny that in the HL universe, one aspect of it (explored in the Half Life games) feel like it's a serious thing and the other part (what we see in Portal 1 & 2) feels like it's satire

If you didn't know about Half Life, you might have thought this was a April Fools joke, the initial premise
from shower curtains to AI/portal tech can give you that impression.

From what I understood, Black Mesa did steal technologies from Aperture, and it wasn't just Cave being paranoid. You can even see the gravity gun and the health and energy stations from Black Mesa in Aperture in the Lab Rat comic.

So you're telling me that on youtube I can find a channel entirely dedicated to fictional organizations and nations from my favorite video games and movies/tv shows? And that I only find out now? I've always wanted to write down the history and ideology of many of these organizations myself, creating great documentary-like videos just like these.
