I totally wouldnt mind this as an ongoing series where you do it with more champs than just Jarvan. skin ranking seems like a fun idea.

In a small nitpick defense, Dark Star skins aren't related to the Void at all; it's just "evil space" themed, against the Cosmic Reaver skins like Kassadin and Master Yi.

The other points all still stand though; they really missed the ball on the "inhuman space anomaly" look of the other Dark Stars.

Personal J4 skin rating including classic Jarvan. In contrast to SW I will take the fitting thematic less into account but I will go more for the value of the skin, as in "does it look as good as the pricetag suggests?".
Also the skins are ranked within their tiers, but with J4 skins I think there is a clear discrepancy in terms of quality, so I felt it fitting to put them into different tiers.

So to my explanations for the placement of the different skins, and the troubles I have with said skins:

Samsung Galaxy Jarvan - Not much to say that was said in the video, great design and after the long drought of subpar J4 skins this skin is just really above and beyond. I love the ceramic aesthetic and the VFX through and through.

Warring Kingdoms Jarvan - The first good Jarvan skin. Scratch that: The first GREAT Jarvan skin. Still holds up with great and unique VFX. Got the chroma for it but no chance to use it so far, looking forward to that.

Commando Jarvan - As stonebro said - WHERE IS THE RED CHROMA. Though I guess I rather want it as a legendary then, with psycho crusher animation for the combo. (Pls rito). Other than that way above its 520 RP pricing, and since I... value... value...this skin is in the same tier as SSG and WK

Darkforge Jarvan - I am actually among those... "selected few" that bought Darkforge Jarvan shortly after it was released (iirc the first time it went on sale). I think it is the epitome what a 975 RP skin should be, with major changes to the model, but no "real" changes to the VFX (taking VFX that rely partially on model here not into account).

Classic Jarvan - Not much to say here - perfectly serviceable basic skin, visual jam well, cannot really complain on any level.

Dragonslayer Jarvan - IMHO a slightly subpar 750 RP skin. Worse than Commando J4 certainly, or at least aged not as well through visual upgrades. Okay for 750. But not with Commando Jarvan next to it.

FNATIC Jarvan - FNC skins overall are a mixed bag imho - Gragas is my favorite Gragas skin, really love it, Janna is servicable, but the other three are just garbage. So this is what this skin is: Garbage - if you are like me, who got the Corky skin years ago when they gave the players that had no suspensions on their account a free skin. I actually felt like being an asshole from now on because that would save me the disappointment if they ever did this again. And since J4 and Corky are of similar quality what I said about that skin you can just apply here as well. So why is this skin above Darkstar, Hextech and Victorious you ask? Pricing. What saves this skin from the bottom tier is pricing alone. It is a 750 RP skin - a very much subpar one, but the value is still better than what is to come.

Victorious Jarvan - Personally do not have him, and I haven't even checked him on @Uli's, but from what I have seen it is pretty meh, especially considering he should be so special.

Darkstar Jarvan - Lazy. Lazylazylazylazy. Just a really lazy skin on any level. They didn't really use the "dark star" portal/gravity star thing even though J4 gives them ample opportunity on his shield and ESPECIALLY on his ult. Legit: If the VFX for his ult wouldn't be garbage I would've considered buying this skin, but when I watched Uli's (Skin Spotlight) video on it I couldn't help but until the ultimate I was really split being in kind of a make or break situation. The model itself already had me not THAT exited, the VFX were... a bit subpar but nothing offensive. And then the ultimate was shown. And it broke. Oh it BROKE. Hard.

And I certainly didn't forget about Hextech Jarvan:
Overall I really like the VFX on his abilities, but dislike the model itself. If they would've left the shoulder plates and gave him an enclosed helmet instead of whatever that atrocity is as a head, I think this could be actually a really good skin, as said: I like the less flashy VFX he has very much, more than SSG or WK in fact, but the model is SO subpar, epsecially the hair - oh the hair.
I just wish they would've made this a really cool skin, but like FNATIC skins the mystic skins you get from the gemstones are a real mixed bag, with some really really good skins (Poppy, Kog'Maw) and then you have this.... thing.
I took value less into account for this skin, as you can theoretically get it without every paying a single buck or pay for up to 500 boxes for this (minus the ones you've earned by playing).
(In case you are unaware: If you didn't get a gemstone for 49 boxes in a row the 50th box is guaranteed to contain one gemstone.)

I really dislike Dark Star and Hextech, one where he's a galactic herald of destruction and the other he's using Piltovian technology. And yet he still talks about Demacia in both. Dark Star especially fails because every other Dark Star skin has a very inhuman design whereas this one just looks like a purple guy.

I personally adored the dark forge skin because in my opinion it is a fantastic blend of medieval and fantasy themes. Well, until the warring kingdom skin was released dark forge was my number one.

I wasnt really excited about the video idea, but you definitelly made it work and i sit through it all in one go and ill be excited next time. Only if you could flash the splash art of a skin first or even better when you are talking about it, that would be great, as many of those skins were exotic to me and didnt really knew what were you talking about untill the end when you show the splashes and its quite a long video, i cant really recall every remark you had on them at that time

I do like the dark star ultimate, Idk the name of the effect they have on the crystals but it's the same on xayah wings on her space skin, where they seem like a rift to space, you can even see it when you move the camera around 12:50

I really like how hextech J4 is like he's moving his kingdom forward with hextech where its not completely magic but its improvement, but the shoulder pads are horrible and he could definitely use some more armour around his body, but overall I don't mind his head. The effects are cool to me. I really liked the video though Stonewall try more out :D

You know everyone says that arc light yorick doesn’t fit but if you read the in client lore synopsis on the skin I think it dose, generally the idea is that he was a king who was offered the possibility of becoming an arc light and accepted, but when he returned, Millenia had passed and everything he had ever known and aged to dust, this eventually driving him mad. Now he roams the ruins of his kingdom eternally, a shell of the man he once was, rather reminiscent of base yoricks lore in a way. So I like to think the voice of the maiden is just him hallucinating.

Same goes for arc light brand, the whole idea is that he was the first arc light, but over thousands of years he lost more and more of himself until he was essentially just a body animated by the light and driven by pain and rage. This skin line may have been a rather 1 dimensional idea if heros before, but with the last few skins it got kind of dark (ironic).

 I was also pretty surprised by the SSG skins, I usually dismiss the esports skins but that line in particular looks awesome. I feel it's cause the design has a more in-universe motif rather than just slapping on "gamer" clothing to the champions.

Back in the old days of watching ass destroyer Jarvan videos from you, I bought Commando Jarvan. He was so manly (especially when he had his old splash art) with his almost phallic imagery in regards to his lance and his posture. They changed that splash art probably because of that, but the new one is still great. Would love to hear your opinions on the skins for the champions you love.

I gave up on League completely, but I can appreciate this. Unfortunately it still recommends a bunch of videos with ALL CAPS titles with either "trolls" or "100% winrate" as a topic. Trash like that is why I quit and can't even enjoy watching gameplay anymore, but I still dig your thoughts on stuff like this.

If u still plan to do skin tier lists, you should probably put a graph showing each of the skins tier, then go through each individual skin starting from the bottom.
