The implementation of the 'first come, first serve' system for NEET PG 2024 exam centre selection has stirred controversy, especially with reports indicating that Bengaluru, a major hub of higher education and home to a significant number of medical colleges and students, has run out of exam centres due to overwhelming demand. According to the National Board of Examination in Medical Sciences (NBEMS), candidates are required to select their preferred city for the exam during the online application process, with allotment of specific exam centres within chosen cities being done on a first-come, first-serve basis by the NBEMS.
