Signs of LOW T3 (The MOST Important Thyroid)

preview_player
Показать описание
T3 is the most powerful thyroid hormone in your body. When you don’t have enough T3 you will feel it. The problem is that most doctosr aren’t routinely checking for T3 levels which means it’s up to you to understand the signs that may indicate this a problem for you. These signs include: a cold body temperature less than 98.6, the inability to lose weight or weight loss resistance, treatment resistant depression, changes in your hormone levels, and extreme fatigue. If any of these symptoms are present then it would be a very good idea to check both your free t3 and total T3 levels. #thyroid #thyroidlabs #t3 #hypothyroidism #thyroidproblems #thyroidawareness

I have all of those symptoms. I exercise for one hour 5 days a week. I’ve even water fasted up to 5 days a few times and I always get zero results. My endo always just says my labs are “within normal range” It’s very discouraging.

I have experienced everything you said I lost 6 stones gained 2 stones easily maintained the 4 stones. Some foods ballooned my weight more than normal nuts pasta. To lose the weight I ate fresh vegetables fruits grains beans pulses water avoid processed sweet swap for coconut sugar or no sugar. I sleep rest, keep active across my day drink eat when I'm hungry stay away from processed foods milk soya gluten made a difference make myself happy do things that make me feel good walk I take magnesium vitamins d flaxseed regularly I lost weight slowly I focus on feeling good having energy things that make me happy this helps. But I had to stick to this routine all the time or the weight creeps back. ❤

Be good to be able to find a doctor who knows what they are doing with thyroid. Most just give synthroid and it doesnt work for me.

I have all these symptoms…I can barely walk. I take natural thyroid. My doc says my adrenals are normal and my T3 is high…I’m going to get copies to see for myself. She wants my b12 brought back down to 300. I have a consistent low basal body temp 35.9 - 36.2, cold hands and feet, extreme fatigue and muscle and joint pain. I have had a low basal temperature since I was 20 as I took it regularly for fertility treatments. Doctors in my area do not know how to dose desiccated thyroid…medical schools have done their job demonizing a treatment that worked well for a hundred years. I had an endocrinologist in the US, but since being back in Canada it is back to inferior treatment.

Where do you like to see FT3 levels in a patient that is on T3 only? Top of the range?

What are the optimal levels of free T3 and total C3 even though you’re in the low range does that mean still that you have hypothyroid or it’s just OK as long as you’re in the lower range end

Yes Dr Childs boy did I learn that but getting to the right dose of T3 is hard I read a research paper on T4 and T3 effect your hair growth and your hair follicles it slows down the normal process of hair growth again very tricky. I am there right now my hair on top is not growing, my hair starting breaking off when my TSH went down below range

Are you taking new patients? I have hypothyroidism. The last year I've been taking 0.50 mcg of Levothyroxine. My (study clinic) doctor's office called and said my TSH is low, when my endocrinologist and gynecologist both did my labs and they both kept me on 0.50 mcg. I am in a weightloss study clinic and I've lost forty pounds. I definitely feel better and I don't wheeze anymore.

You need to raise the text because it’s covered by your name and other stuff. Some of us need to be able to read what is said. Thanks.

My free T3 is a 2.5 and my TSH & T4 is normal. What supplements do you recommend to naturally increase T3? I don’t want to depend on medication my entire life. Is there an alternative?
