Samsung Galaxy S10 vs S9: Is It Worth Upgrading?

After last year's somewhat lackluster launch of the Galaxy S9 & S9+, Samsung makes a strong case for itself this year, showing its exceptional desire to retake its domineering position on the Android scene with the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+.

It's getting less exciting to upgrade to new phones.. Probably because recent phones are already so good it's hard to justify for an upgrade..

Why would we need to upgrading our phone every year??.. I still using s7 and no plan of changing it soon...

I still enjoy using my S9. And I prefer having an iris scanner, a more reliable fingerprint scanner, a hard press home button, and an interrupted display. If I didn't own any of them and I had to choose one, I'll definitely pick the newer one, but since I have the S9, switching to the S10 doesn't feel like a real "upgrade" because I'm losing many things that I love about the S9 while paying a lot of money for it.

I had S9+ then I bought the S10+ literally no recognizable deferens. It was just wasting of money and I regretted doing that.

I hate how the s10 does not have a force touch button to go home like in the s9

I agree. I have the S7 and I just got an S9 from work. I prefer the S7's front located finger print scanner and overall is easier to handle because it's smaller. I only wish the S7 had larger storage.

Using a S9 right now. Don't intend to get a S10. I prefer my fingerprint sensor at the back, not on the screen! And it's smarter to save money in times like this!

I have the S9 and just upgraded to the S10. Here are my thoughts comparing the two so far: S10 positives are bigger storage, bigger screen, battery lasts just a little longer, yes just a tiny bit. S10 Negatives are No LED notification light, speakers are worse - less bass and sounds tinnier, maybe due to thinner body.

I'm still using the s8 and I was this close to getting the s10 til I heard they're finally replacing the camera sensor for the s11, so I'll wait for that.

S9 (not S9+) has good performance, better real-world battery life, higher pixel density for the screen size, a reliable finger print scanner and is slimmer to hold. As the S11 is unlikely to have a headphone socket, I think I'll keep my S9 for a few more years to come.

I have both. The S9 is just more solid. Easier to hold, battery about same, I hate the s10 in screen fingerprint reader. The S9 is the better made phone.

The S10's wide angle, telephoto, and stabilized video options are quite nice and something I'd like available.
But other then that, the S9 seems fine for me.

I don’t feel the need to upgrade too, as the most is the same. Besides, the S10 has no LED indicator.

The iris scanner and the traditional fingerprint scanner on the S9 is safer, mor accurate and more reliable than that on the S10.
