Loyola (MD) vs. North Carolina Men’s Basketball Condensed Game | 2021-22 ACC Men’s Basketball

The North Carolina Tar Heels defeated Loyola (MD), 83-67 in their season opener. Tar Heels guard Caleb Love led the Tar Heels with 22 points in the win. Tar Heels forward Brady Manek poured in 20 points in his North Carolina debut and fellow newcomer Dawson Garcia added 12 points and 9 rebounds off the bench. Guard Kerwin Walton added 11 points on 3-6 shooting from behind the 3-point arc.

We look good. I'd say we have 6 solid offensive weapons in Caleb, RJ, Kerwin, Armando, Manek, and Garcia. Plus some solid role players in McKoy, Harris, D'Marco, and Dontrez. Leaky is kind of a mix between one of our stars and role players. We need to work on defense, specifically on the guard position, and we need to work on rebounding, however, we struggled a little bit considering Armando was out for quite some time. Aside from that, if we can get that cleaned up, I say we have a potential Title Contender.

2 things I want to see Hubert do different than Roy:
emphasis on defense...we are near the bottom of acc every year in every category with Roy..
AND...call a freaking timeout when the team needs one, instead of letting the game get away where there's no possibility of a comeback...no UNC fan understands Roy's not using t.o.s

They work hard to schedule a tomato can for Hubert's first game and we only outscore them by 2 in the 2nd half? This school has not had a winning record since 2012-13. We play Purdue in 2 weeks and Michigan in less than a month. We need to better very quickly.
