Yesterday by my local post office, some one asked me for bus money. But I indicated that I didn't have any change. Then as I walked to my car, I felt God saying to me check your purse. You have some change. I took out three dollars from my wallet. I didn't have any more cash. These days I use my debit card. Anyway I called out to the man and said look, I have three dollars. Take it for your bus ride.
He thanked me over and over.
I thanked God that I was able to reverse my initial response. The truth is I felt
God convicting me because I did have change in my pocket. Thank you God for changing my heart.

I’ve always wondered what is more important to know how much we are loved by our father .Or to know how much we should fear him . With my earthly father I know he loved me but I feared him more I did not want to do wrong for fear of his punishment

I researched that Matthew 18:15-20 is about resolving conflict within the church. God will agree and takeover after all the steps have been followed.

Vs.21: I've learned that Jewish law proposed you forgive someone 3x ....lol@ Peter for attempting to go above the required amount...

Just thought I'd share: In my notes from a sermon on this text:

Peter assumed there was a limit on Christian forgiveness....
And as for the parable, imagine the amount to be repaid was insurmountable. It could never be repaid. My debt is too great. Only God's grace + forgiveness absorbs the debt to His own determent.
Forgiveness is a form of voluntary suffering. Jesus is the means of our forgiveness. ❤

I always thought the parable of the lost sheep was about Jesus is the shepherd and He goes after the unsaved. I read on line that Matthew’s account of the parable is really about believers that go astray or wander off from the church, and the church is the shepherd responsible for bringing them back. This makes sense when Jesus transitions to how to handle sin in the church. It appears Luke’s account is a different conversation.

Also, with vs. 4, 5, 6: I've heard an interpretation of not leading the young hearted Christians (new Christians/new believer) astray...like in the church. Again. We should all be humble n not acting like we know all things n be ever open hearted n open minded to the new wonders of God wherever n whenever we are. And hope the same for those around us.

Matthew 16: 19 Jesus said it in that chapter. Yes we heard the same Matthew 18:18

I think sometimes we forget to pray Gods will. Sure, we can ask for anything, but are we asking for something that’s not his will? You can have 100 people gathered together, but if it’s something that isn’t his will, we’re definitely praying amiss. 😮
