This comment takes off from Dave's riff on the 18kt Visconti nibs. I own only one Visconti nib, and it's one of the 18s. I got it when I bought a Bexley Prometheus from a collector who was downsizing. The pen was fully priced, but I could not resist the odd combination "franken" pen. The nib is so intoxicating in use that I have to put the pen away from time to time, or I would simply not use any of my others.

I'd really like to see how that material is made. I think it would be cool if the whole pen could be created with that blue ribbon in a consistent form, rather like stacked celluloid but still transparent.

Fabulous pen, only have the 1 Visconti though, that's an Opera Black Guilloche, the only one that ever called to me. I do love the squared circle design, also their 14 k nibs are really nice, better than the 23k pd nibs that I've tried.
