"Why not 4k 120Hz?" - Because that would significantly reduce the battery life, impact performance, and increase the price. The whole point of this category of laptop is that it's supposed to be thin and light, last an entire day, while not breaking the bank. Lenovo got the balance almost perfect with this model.

I just bought Yoga Slim7i which is powered by Intel Ultra 5/7 & Intel Arc Graphic Card. This is quite similar to Slim7X. Somewhere down the lane i feel X has a Snapdragon chipset and not a full fledged chipset (isn’t matured) as compared to Intel Core Ultra 5/7. (I might be wrong here). Rest all specs are same except USB - A port & 68 hr battery which Intel processors have.

It has a decent battery and gives me easily full day (9.5-10 hrs) battery backup after heavy use (with no video editing). It has been a month and pretty happy with overall performance and battery. This is my secondary laptop. My primary laptop is MacBook Pro M1 (2020). I wanted a windows laptop similar to my M1 MacBook Pro in terms of performance and battery life. This has been very promising so far and has not let me down. I never shut down my M1 & always pop in my backpack and never there has been a battery drop and had similar expectations with this Lenovo Yoga 7i laptop and this has fulfilled it too.
Of course in terms of battery i can’t say in par with my MacBook but it is quite satisfactory considering windows laptop. FYI i customised my Yoga Slim 7i with Intel Core 5 Ultra chipset.

Lenovo took a step that Apple would never dare to take. They included a USB-C to USB-A adapter in the box.

Still kinda sad that it has to be a dongle and not just on-device I/O.

Great review: just subscribed! Mine will arrive next week. 32GB/1TB. Perfect for DaVinci Resolve on the go (native ARM version optimized for NPU). Capture One just answered they are working on it as well.
Cost effective, OLED touchscreen, the best keyboard, massive autonomy, so light… bye bye MacBooks.
Cherry on the cake: Copilot key (subscriber) for AI tools, online (indeed to always check the online sources: Copilot quotes its sources) and embedded to MS Office 365 (game changer). Greetings 🇨🇭

its a bit painful to know that backward compatibility may be a thing... old premier pro software has key-hacks... but in a new pc you mau be forced to do licence things

The built in AI features kinda suck. Why would I bother paying extra for local AI processing when it's just a gimped version of GPT that needs to pull from the cloud for quality results anyway.

Local AI processing is still a while away unless you own a super computer in your house.
