Lightroom Classic CC Embedded Preview Workflow

That's actually very useful. It's curious that there is no menu option in Library/ Previews... to create an embedded & sidecar preview (even if it only appeared when no other previews are defined). So for folders I've imported but not processed, I'll have to remove the files from Lightroom and then reimport them with an embedded & sidecar preview.

I'm very new to Lightroom and am quite confused about the "Embedded Preview" button in the bottom right corner of my images. I imported my raw files into Lightroom and accidently pressed the embedded preview button. I immediately noticed the colors and everything in the image were more enhanced. I don't quite understand what the point of this is and I don't know how to revert the photo back to what it was. Or am I supposed to make my adjustments on top of the embedded preview?

Sometimes I want to export the embedded preview image. Is there a way to do that?

The preview that I see when I am in the "Library" tab is quite dull and little contrast, and the moment I go to the "Develop" tab to work on the photo suddenly its quite colourful and high contrast. I thought the dull one was supposed to be the real RAW image that I am supposed to see in Develop tab. Does everyone see it that way too?

Hello Sean and thanks for the explaining. But is that only happen at the Library?
What if I want to carry the embedded preview to Develop?

I realized the preview only stays in the Library tab and once I started to edit in Develop tab, the JPG-like settings are all gone.

Did I miss anything?

Is that possible?

I don't understand it at all I import my photos and when I try to edit them they change color on their own???

I would just use it to make sure eye is in focus
