Thanks for this excellent video. We had exactly the same fault. I have shorted the dodgy component for now and the mic is working again.

This is the only video I find liable to what's wrong with my mic. Because it does turns on but there's no usb connection or recognition out of it. 🤔 Ive tried different cables, OS, ports, hubs, never opened it but I wonder if it has the same problem how I figure out there's a tiny part broken dont even know how those fuses works or chips and stuff.

Thanks a lot for this, it has helped me resolve an issue with mine, in my case, the L1 part was working and the mic shows on the operating system. but the mute button light never turned on and the mic didn't pick up any voice, turns out, it was filter L2 that was dead on my unit. replacing it resolved the issue.

I have ZERO experience with this stuff, but I know the usb cable broke and it seems like a piece has got stuck in the port no Idea what to do but I think it like yours need replacing

Bit of a late posting, but how would one go about finding the exact capacitor or resistor that is causing an issue?

I am reparing one of these mics that currently is getting power, is being read by PC, but only picks up static.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

What does it mean when i touch the tweezers to either side of one of those pieces and it shows up on the pc with device descriptor failed?

Hey there! Great video, but I'm hoping you can offer advice with my Blue Yeti. The USB jack was bad, so I am replacing it with a cable, but I fried the pads for the data pins (pin 2 and 3). Do you know where I can run the data+ and data- connections?

a billion Blue Yeti usb repair videos, only one i found that mentions the "Coil filter" L1 / L2 ect but doesn't explain anything about it, how to identify where to find a replace ect... so frustrating

Hi, Thanks I have the same problem. Mine is power up after I replaced the usb port. Is this port only the RED &BLACK is inuse?. I can't see ant connection for white and green wire(data + and _ )?

Hello! I lost the USB Connection Solderpoints. Could you tell me where the first possible spot is where i can solder the USB Data Connection to?

I also have a Blue Yeti which will get recognize but will only make static Sound. Switching Patters wont do anything. Do you know what could lead to the Problem?

Hi, I'm having a similar issue with the mic, I replaced the port and it still only shows red light and doesn't get seen by the computer.
